Common pain killers can lead to brain hemorrhage when………..

Common pain killers like Motrin, Advil and Aleve when combined with antidepressants increase brain hemorrhage risk.brain hemorrhage

I know many of you take NSAID’s (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)  like Motrin, Advil and Aleve and even cox-2 inhibitors like Celebrex for pain.

Taking common NSAID’s like Advil or Motrin together with antidepressants can cause brain hemorrhage.

This a dangerous drug cocktail according to researchers.

A new study published in the British Medical Journal showed that patients who take both antidepressants and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be monitored for bleeding in the brain (intracranial hemorrhage).

So be careful when combining medications and let your doctor know about this new research.

Here’s a list of NSAID’s

  • •           Ibuprofen (e.g. brand names Advil, Motrin, Nuprin)
  • •           Naproxen (e.g. brand names Aleve, Naprosyn)
  • •           COX-2 inhibitors (e.g. brand name Celebrex)

I don’t know if it’s the commercials or the fact that every trauma in life seems to need an antidepressant. But be careful.  You don’t need a brain hemorrhage on top of the trauma.

Another caution!

Many people take NSAID’s for pain.  Many arthritis sufferers take even more. If you take  NSAID’s while you are on an antidepressant-believe me that is the number one new drug prescription in America today-there is a greater risk that I don’t think you,  me  or anyone would want to take if they knew the full danger.

There are more hidden dangers!

Just taking NSAID’s alone increase the risk of stomach bleeding resulting in hospitalization.  There are over 1 million hospital admissions a year due to prolonged NSAID use and over 60,000 deaths from bleeding ulcers caused by NSAID’s.

This single fact is the one most covered up by the mainstream media and the big Pharma. You will never hear those stats on a commercial.

So be careful.

Remember most if not all drugs have side effects and NSAID’s are dangerous when taken in excess over extended periods of time.

One way to accomplished pain reduction is by  lowering inflammation. Taking anti oxidants lowers inflammation naturally without side effects.

Susie G. said that taking HeartLifePlus had stopped the pain in her body almost immediately.      Her hip pain disappeared and she was thrilled.

Lowering inflammation through supplementation is just good common sense.

You don’t want to end up in the hospital with a brain hemorrhage or a bleeding ulcer.

As a health conscious person you want to be ahead of the curve.

P.S. Over the counter pain killers can be lethal,  proceed with caution.

P.P.S. Taking anti inflammatory nutrients is a natural way to reduce pain.
